Telephone performance Infra Quark by Lou Masduraud as part of the Systm Soupir exhibition, followed by a lecture of Thomas Conchou on the book A Love of UIQ, an unmade film screenplay by Félix Guattari, edited by Silvia Maglioni and Graeme Thomson.
Lou Masduraud combines sculpture, installation and performance in a formal vocabulary that borrows from both the grotesque and the poetic. The artist creates phantasmagorical alternate worlds that diverge from dominant realities, where one can experience this transfiguration of daily life as an initial form of emancipation.
For her exhibition Systm soupir, curated by Thomas Conchou, Masduraud proposes a speculative takeover of the infrastructure essential to collective life. She invites everyone to grant themselves the right, privilege and pleasure to embrace fundamental political questions, by creating hidden, underground places that lie at the margins of reality…
