On 27 and 28 November, the Arts & Sciences Chair of the École Polytechnique, the École des Arts Décoratifs-PSL and the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation are offering an event-filled weekend with a host of lectures, roundtables, documentaries, VR, and more. On Saturday evening: ATOTAL, the French premiere of the new musical performance by Franck Vigroux and Antoine Schmitt, which strikes a tone that undoubtedly resonates with one of Philip K. Dick’s many parallel universes.
The weekend was created and organised by Biennale Némo / Le CENTQUATRE-PARIS, and the Arts & Sciences Chair at École polytechnique and EnsadLab, based on a proposal by Christopher Robinson, a lecturer at École polytechnique who specialises in science fiction and fantasy in art, literature and cinema.
It was developed in collaboration with Frédéric Landragin (CNRS research director with a PhD in computer science / linguistics, and author of Comment parler à un alien ? Langage et linguistique dans la science-fiction, published by Éditions Le Bélial), the artists Donatien Aubert and Ismaël Joffroy Chandoutis (who are both presenting at Beyond Reality? – The Exhibition) and the theatre director Julien Villa (author of Philip K. ou la fille aux cheveux noirs).
With the participation (subject to confirmation) of: Sam Azulys, Ugo Bienvenu, Roland Lehoucq, Hélène Collon, Raphaël Granier de Cassagnac, Léo Henry, Vincent Martigny, Gilles Menegaldo, Alain Musset, Yannick Rumpala, Justine Emard, Jean-Sébastien Steyer, Gwenola Wagon…
